Dear Prospective South Lake Tahoe Home Renter:
It gives us a great deal of pleasure to be able to offer you the use of our home in South Lake Tahoe. We have put many hours of hard work into our Sierra home. We ask that you treat the home like it was your own, and always do you best to leave it a little cleaner than they way you found it.
WHAT WE OFFER:
1) A two story home in a quiet residential area of South Lake Tahoe. The home is only a 2 1/2 miles away from Heavenly Valley, State Line (and gambling), and many popular Tahoe attractions.
2) The home sleeps eight: one room with two queen beds, one loft room with a double bed, and a futon in the living room. All beds have pillows, comforter, and blanket.
3) The home has central heater (gas), an electric stove, microwave oven, clothes dryer (great for skiers), fireplace, cable, 26" color TV, VCR and telephone. The home is completely furnished except for towels and linens. Everything from pots and pans to books to read and plenty of trays for making ice are provided for your comfort.
WHAT WE ASK OF YOU:
1) That you understand that the modest rent is made with the understanding that you will leave the home in absolutely clean rental condition. (It should be the same way when you arrive.)
2) That you bring your own bed linens, towels and food.
3) That you reverse or use a credit card for all long distance calls.
THE PARTICULARS (Keys and arrival/departure & check-in times):
A key is provided one week ahead of rental date. Arrival and departure is at noon. A deposit is required. Upon request, you may be able to arrive earlier or leave later. There is no charge for the extra hours as we want you to have a great vacation at Lake Tahoe.
PETS
As to pets, we do not allow them at the cabin. We find that those with pets are very good about cleaning-up.... the problem is people with allergies who come afterwards. We apologize for any inconvenience.
It really is true, people with pets are often better about cleaning than most people, and we understand that pets are an important part of a family and a vacation experience. However, we truly have had occasions where people have specifically inquired to make sure that dogs and cats were not allowed due to serious allergies. Again, I'm sorry it has to be this way.
I have been told that Four Paws Grooming & Kennel (979 Tallac Ave, 530 542-2377) will board animals locally.
LOCATION:
The home located at South Lake Tahoe a few blocks from the intersection of Hwy 50 and Sierra Blvd. (you turn right at the Swiss Chalet Restaurant) in a quiet residential area. (Map and complete directions are mailed with keys.)
